We've outlined the three registration types and their individual steps below. If you need our help at any point along the way, you can email our support staff at support@hollywoodfringe.org.
BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING....
STEP ONE: CREATE YOUR PROJECT
It’s totally free to post an idea on our website…just create a project.
It can be anything you might like to bring to the Fringe, there is no obligation. Add some thoughts, pictures, video: Whatever you need to articulate your idea. This is a public project – anything you post can be seen by the Fringe world. Hopefully, it will attract some attention from members of the community who might be able to help by lending resources and assistance.
STEP TWO: FIND YOUR VENUE
Ready to take it to the next step? Get ready to hunt for a venue.
If you're streaming from a non-Hollywood Fringe venue, apply for the "Digital Streaming Venue" in the registration process. This will be approved within 48 hours by Fringe staff.
Looking to livestream from one of our venue partners or perform at an outdoor, socially-distant space? We have made this process easier by securing a list of Hollywood venues interested in hosting Fringe programming. When you apply, they will receive an email with your application information and a link to your project. Feel free to contact them directly once you have applied online. See our article on finding a venue to learn more about this process.
If you have trouble finding a suitable venue, booking a venue or getting in touch with your venue, contact us at support@hollywoodfringe.org.
Additionally, if you are looking to do outdoor, socially distant work, and bring your own venue, please email support@hollywoodfringe.org to begin that process.
STEP THREE: REGISTER WITH THE FRINGE
When you pay your registration you secure your spot as a festival participant. This avails you to all the benefits of participation (see below).
Fringe Registration Fees:
- $175 for Registration Type 1. Livestream from an official Hollywood Fringe venue
- $225 for Registration Type 2. Livestream from anywhere else
- $275 for Registration Type 3. Socially distant, COVID-safe outdoor theatre
Additionally, the Hollywood Fringe offers registration for any theatre related educational programming (i.e. workshops, panels, town halls). This does not include performances of any type.
- $50 for one educational workshop-style event (June - August 2021)
- You may register one educational event for $0 if you have already registered another show
BENEFITS OF REGISTRATION
We have tried to keep our registration costs as low as possible so all can participate. Most of the money raised through registration will be spent on marketing the festival itself. Remember: We don’t guarantee you an audience, however we do everything we can to make sure people know about the Festival as a whole. Attracting festival-goers to see your show is a task you need to tackle yourself (we will help you along).
Once you have paid your registration fee, you are entitled to these benefits:
Promotion
Inclusion in the Fringe Website, Fringe App and all the festival-wide promotion enacted every year including print & digital ads, radio spots and more.
