Purchasing advertisements for display in our printed Festival Guide or at hollywoodfringe.org is a great way to promote your business.
You can purchase printed ads for the Guide, as well as online ads (by impression) at www.hollywoodfringe.org/market.
Any ads you'd like printed in the Fringe Guide must be submitted by April 10th of the current festival year; there is no deadline for purchasing online ads.
Our web ads are scaled proportionally to 200 pixels wide. It is best to author them at 200 pixels wide by less than 500 pixels tall. 72 dots per inch is the preferred resolution. PNG, JPG, and GIF are acceptable file types.
Our online ads are priced by the number of "impressions" you will receive. An impression refers to any time an ad loads on a page on the site. The ads are randomized across the site; each time a page is loaded, it pulls random ads from the total pool of ads available. Every time your ad appears this way uses up one impression. The site gets a ton of hits at this time of year, so the rate of impression consumption can be quick at times. Remember, you can strategically turn the ad on and off, via the steps to edit below, as well as edit its text, so there's definitely ways to put a limit on how many impressions you go through.
The procedure for editing your ad once it has been purchased is as follows:
- Login to the site
- Go to the drop down menu under your profile picture at the top right
- Click on "advertisements" in the menu
- From this screen you can refill an ad, track its impression usage, track the number of times it has been clicked, and click "view" to see how it will look when loaded on the site
- Click "edit" below an online ad to update its text/image/link or turn it on and off
